Michael Petry is the curator of the Royal Academy Schools Gallery, London, the author of The Art of Not Making and a co-author of Installation Art. His upcoming full colour book - The Touch of the Oracle - lavishly illustrates Petry's recent practice in conjunction with the Palm Springs Art Museum show of the same name. The book has been designed by Petry as a visual palimpsest of his recent work (as all the photographs in the book were taken by Petry), and represents the first full scale look at his work with essays by the Adrian George, Curator of the UK National Collection and the PSAM Chief Curator, Katherine Hough, as well as Petry's comments regarding the production of the works at the start of each chapter. The exhibition will also include a new version of Golden Rain and this book will also accompany the exhibition.
