About the Author

Tom Till has photographed Utah professionally for over 35 years. That work has been collected in numerous books, including Utah: The Light Fantastic, and Utah: Then and Now. A resident of Moab, Till has photographed in all 50 states and in over sixty countries overseas. His images of nature and landscapes have appeared in Time, Newsweek, Life, The New Yorker, Outside, Sierra, Smithsonian, National Geographic, The New York Times and numerous other magazines and books. Outdoor Photographer Magazine called Tom one of the "Lords of Landscape Photography." Till Received the NANPA Fellow Award for Outstanding Contributions to Nature Photography in 2006. The Tom Till Gallery in Moab is a cornerstone of the Colorado Plateau art scene, and Till's prints hang in homes and offices worldwide. An exhibit of his images of UNESCO World Heritage Sites has been traveling the world for almost three years, with stops in Paris, Brussels, Copenhagen, Geneva and Oslo, among others. When not spending over 200 days a year in the field making photographs, Till loves movies and rock music, and reading about astronomy and physics.
