Can we have a world that reflects God's goals rather than our own? And what does that mean for us and for our environment? Our problem is not just polluted rivers or a changing climate or an unjust economic system. Our problem is that our rebellion against God has consequences. If the ideas Ed Brown articulates here are taken seriously, they will force us to rethink everything we do as human beings.

He presents a weekend seminar for churches that builds on the content of his books and whose purpose is to de-politicize the environmental discussion. Contact him through the Care of Creation website for information on booking the seminar at your church or educational institution.
Ed lives in Madison WI with his wife and one small, white dog.
Ed Brown is an intriguing writer and an accomplished teacher. Though I have read dozens of books in this field, I could not put this one down. He mixes realism and hope. He integrates direction with devotion. The result is a simple and motivating way to worship God and take care of His creation. The principles and practical action items are simple and inspiring. Simply read, pray, and follow directions!
Dr. Joel C. Hunter, Senior Pastor, Northland - A Church Distributed
Edward Brown eloquently describes what God expects from us and goes on to present the enormous challenge to all peoples but especially the world's Christians squarely to face the demands of caring for creation and all that that means. He urges us to take a global perspective and get real and active realizing that we don't have to do it on our own. God is offering to partner with us in furthering His kingdom and bringing about His will on Earth as it is in heaven.
Sir John Houghton, former co-chair of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change's Scientific Working Group
We're running this world into the ground and we desperately need another way forward. As Ed Brown rightly puts it, we need God's way. When Heaven and Nature Sing is for all those who are ready to surrender our goals for God's goals, and exchange our plan for God's plan. I'm grateful for this empowering and hope-filled book, just as I'm grateful for Ed Brown's visionary leadership and faithful ministry.
Ben Lowe, activist and author, Green Revolution and Director of Young Evangelicals for Climate Action.
...a great discussion book for adult education classes or Youth Groups. Indeed, this may be its greatest contribution -- an excellent creation-care resource for Christian education. And the Church is in desperate need of such resources, those that don't just sit on the shelf but actually get people thinking and acting differently -- more aligned with God's will for our lives and for the whole of creation.
