After The Arena is former Auburn University head football coach Pat Dye's sequel to In The Arena, which was published in 1992 near the end of his remarkable coaching career, which included four Southeastern Conference championships in a span of seven years and culminated with the naming of the Auburn football field as Pat Dye Field. In After The Arena, Dye continues to reminisce on his active years in football and displays his continuing passion for the game today. He delves into the amazing growth of college football and in particular the domination of the Southeastern Conference. He also reflects on his life outside of coaching, including his love for his farm in rural Notasulga, Alabama, near Auburn. Dye, who was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame, remains close to his former players, such as Heisman winner Bo Jackson, who wrote the Foreword to After The Arena. After The Arena was written in cooperation with Auburn author Mike Jernigan. It is published by The Donnell Group, which has previously published numerous Auburn football books such as God's Receiver, The Terry Beasley Story and Lewis Colbert, The Unlikeliest Auburn Tiger.
