About the Author:

Nick Ortner is known worldwide as an inspirational speaker and the New York Times best-selling author of The Tapping Solution. His “muse”—his daughter, June—isn’t old enough to read yet but stares at Barkley and all his adventures with delight. Nick lives with his wife, Brenna, in Newtown, CT.

Alison Taylor is an elementary school teacher who enjoys reading and writing with her students. Her desk is often crowded with buckets of apples. She lives in forest-filled Connecticut where her ideas for Barkley sprouted. She’s also Brenna’s younger sister, Nick’s sister-in-law, and tied in 1st place for June’s favorite aunt. This is Alison's first (published) book.

Review:

“A sweet little reminder about the magical power of hugs. Read it to your kids, your dogs, your mailman . . . and then hug the heck out of them. This world would be a very different place if we all spread the hug love.”

Kris Carr, New York Times Bestselling Author

“I love The Big Book of Hugs. This book can show children how a hug can brighten someone’s day, then they can teach others to do the same. It feels like you are getting a hug when you read it.”

Lisa Garr, Author and Host of The Aware Show

“Children are naturally connected to their surroundings. This book encourages them to stay connected with the most universal technique for showing affection: the hug! The Big Book of Hugs is a great reminder to parents and children that you can never give too many hugs.”

Congressman Tim Ryan

“A sweet book with a beautiful message about learning to master the best job in the world!”

Cheryl Richardson, New York Times Bestselling Author of The Art of Extreme Self-Care

“Me too! I want to give and get all those different kinds of hugs! The Big Book of Hugs is a wonderful, gentle story about self-confidence and love—for all of us little and big children.”

Geneen Roth, New York Times Bestselling Author of Women Food and God
