Beginning with a family vacation when she is six years old and ending with a trip to her fiftieth country, Jan Shannon takes us across the United States and around the world in this travel memoir. She tells tales of the places she has visited, from California to Texas to Maine, from Denmark to Japan to Samoa. She introduces us to her family and traveling companions as she takes her children whitewater rafting in West Virginia, teaches English as a foreign language in Ghana and walks the paths of history in Israel. "Life's Journey" blends storytelling and travel writing to give us a look at one American woman's life through her travels.
