With over a quarter of a million sold of her youth series alone, her exciting JENNIE McGRADY series is enjoying overwhelming success from readers of all ages. Patricia has moved into the adult fiction category with the release of her HELEN BRADLEY MYSTERIES: Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep and Red Sky in Mourning.
With numerous awards to her credit, such as an Edgar nomination a Silver Angel Award for excellence in media, it comes as no surprise that she is a favorite at conventions and interviews. Pat has appeared on numerous radio and television talk shows throughout the U.S. and Canada, including Prime Time America and Focus on the Family. She is a registered nurse and holds an M.A. degree in counseling from Western Evangelical Seminary.
As a speaker, Pat combines her speaking, writing, and singing talents to bring inspirational and motivational workshops and retreat programs to men and women and children across the country. Pat can be often found in schools through her "Invite an Author to School" program, or on the beach with the "Writer's Weekend at the Beach" workshops.

Grade 7 Up-In this, the sixth book in the series, Jennie investigates the disappearance and attempted murder of a classmate. When eccentric but kindhearted Courtney calls Jennie to ask for help, the sleuth (shades of Nancy Drew) arranges a meeting with her, only to find out that Courtney has been badly beaten and is in a coma. The reason and perpetrator are made clear when Jennie eventually solves the mystery. The characters confront a surprising array of social ills-homelessness, drugs, anorexia, child abuse, and battery-and one has to wonder if Rushford didn't construct the plot simply to reflect as many contemporary problems as possible. The story line does reflect some of the grim situations faced by today's teens, but the frequency suggested here is unrealistic. The heroine is a mentally strong character and exhibits independence, smarts, and perseverance. This book hinges greatly on previous installments and should only be purchased if other entries in the series are popular.?Carrie A. Guarria, Lindenhurst Memorial Library, NY
