This book focuses on Leeds United supporters scattered around the world and their own personal stories of their experiences following the West Yorkshire club. Their tales are comical, unusual, interesting, scary and fascinating. All the supporters speak with equal passion about the club they adore. The book is like a virtual tour around the world, tracking down Leeds followers along the way. It starts with supporters’ tales in Leeds itself and then goes around the west side of England, into Wales, across to Southern and Northern Ireland, over to America and Canada, down to the Caribbean, further south to Brazil and Argentina, and continues around the globe to places such as South East Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Zimbabwe, Azerbaijan, Russia, Norway, Iceland and many more. It ends up going back up the east side of England and home to Leeds again, where more home-grown supporters tell their stories. The author’s own experiences following the club appear throughout the book, and there are three chapters where ‘super-fan’ Gary Edwards (author of Paint it White and Leeds United The Second Coat), who has missed just one Leeds match, including all pre-season friendlies, anywhere in the world since 1968, gives his views on various aspects of the club throughout its history. Every Leeds fan will be able to relate to the passion that comes across in these pages.

First and foremost 46-year old Andy Starmore is a massive Leeds United supporter and has been since a little boy. Over the past four years Andy has been a contributor to the official Leeds United magazine Leeds, Leeds, Leeds. He has been a freelance football writer since 1991, has covered some rugby union matches for the Bournemouth Daily Echo and has submitted articles for the newspaper covering the World Superbikes at Brands Hatch and the Motor GP at Donnington Park. Andy has interviewed some high profile footballers, including ex-Leeds players. He has also produced articles for the football magazine FourFourTwo, as well as write ups for national newspapers. During the 1991/92 season, Andy also did live reports for all the AFC Bournemouth home games for the local radio station 2CR, followed by post-match interviews with their then manager Tony Pulis (now manager of Premier League Stoke City). Andy's passion for Leeds led him to track down Leeds fans from all over the world, culminating in this publication of their stories.
