Synopsis

Jap-ji is a spiritual text that reaches out to us all to awaken to our oneness, regardless of spiritual path, class or creed. Meaning sing to your soul, it was first recited after a spiritual awakening by Guru Nanak (1469-1539), initiator of the Sikh path. Originally written in Gurumukhi (language of the gurus), its recitation offers a formula for achieving higher consciousness and awakens the mind to an experience of the Infinite. Simply listening to its universal message every day is beneficial. Sing to Your Soul poetically explains the essence of Guru Nanak s discourse, and offers a meaningful understanding of spiritual principles that enlightened ones have tried to convey for millennia. Addressing major questions of seekers everywhere, it clarifies concepts still relevant to our life and times, and fits them all together to show the exquisite beauty of Jap-ji's elevated totality. Guru Rattana's deep understanding assists seekers of all paths to effortlessly follow the basic steps of their spiritual journey, and to feel the true meaning of Guru Nanak's message, planting the seed of love in our hearts, bringing light and clarity to our spiritual path, and setting out guidelines for our yogic practice.

About the Author

Guru Rattana, Ph.D., author, teacher and teacher of teachers, has been a student of Yogi Bhajan and teacher of his Kundalini Yoga and Meditation for almost 40 years. She literally lives and loves Kundalini Yoga, and has devoted a large part of her life to teaching and writing books about this amazing technology. She has been publishing her books since 1988-89. In her first four manuals, which helped launch the teachings to a much wider global audience, she was primarily concerned with assembling information and writing down the instructions for yoga sets and meditations. Yogi Bhajan didn't come from India with a big box of Kundalini Yoga books! His students had to preserve his teachings by writing down everything that he taught. After many decades of daily practice and teaching, she now feels Kundalini Yoga. She writes and teaches from her own experience of the transformative power of this sacred technology. She has witnessed the effects of this practice in her own life, and in the lives of the many women and men she has taught from all over the world.Over the years, she has gone deeper into the essence of what Yogi Bhajan calls The Yoga of Awareness. She is now much more aware of how to tune into the subtler aspects of the technology, and of how all students must pay attention, focus, listen, and feel to consciously experience its full physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual benefits. Her works include the Kundalini Yoga and Meditation manuals: Transitions to a Heart-Centered World, Relax and Renew, Sexuality and Spirituality, and Introduction to Kundalini Yoga (new edition in 2 volumes), as well as Your Life is in Your Chakras, The Destiny of Women Is the Destiny of the World, and her recent books The Inner Art of Love Awaken Your Heart with Kundalini Yoga, The Gift of Womanhood Inner Mastery, Outer Mystery, The Power of Neutral Soul Alchemy in Meditation and Sing to Your Soul - Awaken to Oneness. She is very active on Facebook, and writes regularly in her Guru Rattana Blog, on spiritual awakening, astrology, and Kundalini Yoga. Her Guru Rattana Online streaming video subscription service has made Kundalini Yoga available in many places where there are no teachers, and helped to spread the teachings to some of the most far-flung corners of the Earth. The service has recently received a major upgrade, and will now work on all devices including iPhones & Androids. There are 76 lessons currently available with more in the pipeline.
