"In our book, we aimed at sharing with you certain interesting biographical information on Sinan prior to the presentation of his works covering the time period until his becoming the chief architect. We also reserved a section for the explanation of the leading artistic trends of the time such as ornamentations, miniature as well as tile and calligraphic arts that were uniquely used for the decoration of the works in question. In order to be able to better present the works by Sinan that were spred out to a large geographical region, we tried to provide information about as many of his works as possible also classifying his significant masterpieces under certain categories. While telling about the works themselves, we also referred to the commissioners of these important works which still serve to decorate the skylines of today's cities." HC in slipcase. 3 kg.
