" An Abridgment of the Indian Affairs Contained in Four Folio Volumes, Transacted in the Colony of New York, from the Year 1678 to the year 1751." Edited with an introduction and biography of Captain Wraxall by Charles Howard McIlwain. Peter Wraxall (1720-1759) served as the Secretary of the Commissioners of Indian Affairs at Albany, and William Johnson from 1755. By transcribing these records of Indian relations with New York (1678-1751) he left a legacy of great interest for undersanding this crucial period in colonial history. Much on the fur trade with Albany, shifting tribal alliances with the British and French, etc., etc. A very nice copy. Seller Inventory # 001073
