Quarto. Unpaginated. Original pictorial wrappers with black lettering on cover and spine. Rose endpapers. Collaboration of Dine (artist) and Padgett (text) juxtaposing oddities of the American psychological sphere in text and mostly pencil drawings and collages on glossy egg shell colored paper. "The germ of an idea wiggled in my mind. I transferred it to an incubation cell, applying heat and light, and sat back and waited for it to hatch" (author). Wrappers with wear along edges, rubbed and light creasing. Very small stain in upper right corner carrying through the first 20 leaves. Some rubbing of endpapers.
