Red boards with black lettering on spine and front board and a black medallion depicting an archer on both spine and front board. Spine slanted and corners very slightly bumped. PO inscription on front frre endpaper dated 1939. Pastedowns in red and ivory depict an archer in a forest setting kneeling on one knee preparing to shoot. Vintage DJ depicts Errol Flynn as Robin Hood, DJ has minor soiling and shallow chips at spine and flap ends and 1" tear at top of spine. Text is clean and unmarked. A charming copy. "With the fair Maid Marion at his side, Robin Hood waged war against the rich and proud lords who were the enemies of poor and humble folks. He robbed the wealthy only to give to the poor.
