Hardcover in unclipped dust jacket. 8-3/8" tall, 122 numbered pages. This book is in very good condition: the exterior is square, spotlessly clean, free of corner bumps and edge dings and with undamaged spine ends, though the heel of the spine has very slight wear and color loss; hinges are strong. Except for an inked name/date/city on the back of the FFEP, the interior is perfectly clean and completely free of writing, stray marks, stains and any sort of paper damage. Not remaindered, ex-library or a Book Club edition. The dust jacket is intact and is clean and free of chips, scratches, scrapes, and fading; it has a small degree of toning, noticeable on the rear panel; there is slight wear with corresponding color loss at the lower front corner and at the top edge near the front gutter (see photos). This is a short, interpretive history of the United States, written at the encouragement of the Office of War Information, intended for translation into many languages (from "The Publishers", preceding the Table of Contents).
