About this Item

Magnusson was Dean, College of Engineering, University of Washington. These are a two journals and one Bulletin of the UW Engineering Experiment Station, from his estate. Also included is a technical bulletin, entirely in Russian, by A. A. Jahko-Trinitsky, USSR, inscribed by him to Magnusson in 1959; as well as an issue of "The Washington Alumnus", March 1925. The Professional Engineer journal has eight articles on engineering in the Pacific Northwest. The AIEE Journal has an article on "Great Northern Railway Electrification in the Cascades". Very nice condition, b/w illustrations, Magnusson's writing to covers of journals indicating the page numbers of his contributions. "In 1904, Carl Edward Magnusson became an associate professor of electrical engineering at the UW. His appointment a year later as a full professor and head of the department is widely considered as marking the start of the Department of Electrical Engineering as a separate and independent unit on campus."
