About this Item
This was year Powys returned to Britain from America, it describes his first 60 years, and is considered one of his most important works. While he sets out to be totally frank about himself, and especially his sexual peculiarities and perversions, he largely excludes any substantial discussion of the women in his life. The reason for this is now much clearer because we now know that it was written while he was still married to Margaret, though he was living in a permanent relationship with Phyllis Playter. // This is a 'cloth-bound' 1st edition hardback in good condition-the cloth to the cover is a marked/dirty. (595 pages & 1 page of book advertisments). This is a heavy book over 1kg, so there will be an extra postage charge. Seller Inventory # 10628
