About this Item
Black Boy, Richard Wright, World Publishing Company, Cleveland, tenth edition in August of 1945, the year this autobiography of the highly regarded African American writer was first published. No dust jacket for a copy that is in excellent condition with no notes, names, underlining, etc. The only apparent flaw is a rip/tear at the top of the front free endpaper where it looks like someone thought this endpaper might be edible. The book traces the life of Wright from his early years in the deep south through his decision to move to Chicago, begin writing and establish himself as an important voice in American literature.
