None. Apparent First. 19cm By 13.5cm, Throughout the 1920s Henry Segrave set many land and water speed records in his famed cars and boats. In June 1930 he died in his seedboat Miss England immediatly after setting a new world record at just under 100mph. In the preceeding years he had won international fame in his cars and boats, at the same time doing much to advance the technical engineering of both. To a large extent the title in misleading as the text matter in this study of his life and work is not juvernile and contains much information of value to speed record buffs of the years between the wars. Not dated but circa 1931. 284 pages, with the last section devoted to tributes made shortly after Segrave's death. Interesting text complemented by 32 excellent b/w photos. Light brown hard covers VG with black front/spine titles, speedboat decoration on front. Spine lightly sunned with small spot lower centre, light wear spine extremities, corners. Back board slightly loose. Inscription in blue pencil on FFEP has name blacked out (3cm wide by half cm deep), name repeated in blue pencil on title page. Text block VG+, with with small marginal tears centre vertical page edges last five text pages, not intruding to text. Seller Inventory # 001840
