About this Item

Square small 4to. Glazed pictorial paper over boards, pictorial dust jacket. 144pp. Extensive illustrations (many color). Fine/fine. Superb, tight first edition of this (to cite front jacket panel) "Entertaining History of Pigs," a dense compilation of hog lore, fact and fiction -- handsomely signed by Rath in black ballpoint on the front flyleaf, where she adds "Best Wishes." Though not so noted, from the collection of noted Midwest children's book etcher and author Art Geisert, many of whose best known books are populated entirely with pig characters.
