i-xvi, 17-340 pages. Hardcover: H 23.25cm x L 15.5cm. Original dark brown cloth rubbed, light staining to boards with corners well worn, small patches of surface chipping to cloth at spine and rear board, loss of cloth at spine head so that it is worn even with text block's top edge, frayed spine heel chipped and worn, slight flaking to spine's gilt lettering which otherwise remains fairly bright. Edges toned; some moisture staining to bottom edge with interior leaves shallowly affected at bottom margins. Light yellow endpapers toned and soiled; name in pencil and past bookseller's penciled price on front free endpaper along with scarce black ink oval bookseller stamp for John B. Clark of Eutaw, Alabama; old ink scribbling on rear free endpaper; some foxing throughout (strongest on several initial and terminal leaves) as well as scattered soiling and small stains.
