" New National Edition" "Translated into English with Analyses and Introductions by B. Jowett, M.A". Three volumes bound in ribbed burgundy color cloth with Plato's olive tree and name embossed in blind on the front covers and title and volume numbers on the spine in gilt. The spines are faded and lightly soiled. THere is very light wear on the corners. Spine caps are softened with fraying at the head and heel. Top edges are lightly dust-dulled. Otherwise, pages are ivoried, clean, smooth and unmarked. The bindings are sound. Each volume includes it's own frontispiece illustration with tissue guards intact. Operating through a retail outlet located at 200 Maine St. in Brunswick and through its on-line sales activities, Curtis Friends operates only with volunteers from the local community and sells only those books donated by its constituents. Curtis Friends has been in existence for several decades.
