About this title

Synopsis:

When Maia rents the unusual, Greek-styled house known as Doria, her life begins to feel like a Greek myth. For example, a boy living on the grounds reminds her of Hermes. Her encounters with the odd locals lead her to think that Doria may not be the idyllic getaway she had hoped for. Will Maia find the peace she desperately seeks or will she yield to madness?

About the Author:

Irene Parsons has been an avid reader since growing up on a farm during hard times. She has also been writing most of her life, beginning with the local newspaper. She wrote and edited trade papers and had a weekly column in the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. She is the author of Columbia Heights: Bootstrap Town, in addition to poetry, short stories, and several novels. Doria unites her passion for all things Greek, her concern for the problems of people, especially women, and her pleasure and joy in writing this story.
