1950 reprint, hardcover in baby blue paper covered boards with a couple of specks of surface soil, head and foot of spine is sunned but red spine title still visible. Spine ends lightly brushed, tips still sharp. 198pp text is tight and crisp with bright B/W pen illustrations including a donkey frontispiece. Page-block and endpps starting to fox, negligible handling soil throughout but no writing or highlighting inside. Not exlib. Original dj is unclipped and has a couple of closed tears, is chipping but loss has been repaired and lined with matching paper, the white background of rear panel is darkened from foxing, but displays well in new mylar. Dowsha is born in England, but after several changes of owners is taken over to Egypt, where he has many strange adventures with Sultan, the Arab horse. Seller Inventory # 49758
