From a theological library. Inscribed and signed on the second frontpaper in a large hand in 11 lines: "To / My Treasured / New Friend and Brother / W. B. Parshley / with fragrant memories / of Live Oak(?) Fla., and / Monroe College, Forsyth (Ga?) / and in earnest / "G-d Bless You" from / The Author / Saturday Night / April 22 - 1903". The back cover has a few reddish discolorations, else is clean and is tightly bound with very well attached covers. Both the spine and the covers have very good, unworn and unbumped edges. There is a library label on the lower spine, a library blindstamp on the title page, some library notes and numbers in the margin of the next page recording this book as a gift from Mrs. Parshley, and a barcode on the endpaper. xxii, 694 very clean, still crisp, and tightly bound pages, with some photographs.
