This famous series was published in eighteen volumes, six of poetry, six of prose, and six of letters. The present collection lacks five volumes, three of verse, one of prose and one of letters. The volumes are distinguished by early 19C. morocco bindings of outstanding quality and condition, raised bands, spines gilt and lettered direct, upper and lower covers with multiple gilt fillets and blindstamping, board edges and inner dentelles gilt, all edges gilt, grey endpapers, apart from a few minor faults and slight wear to some corners, in fine condition.
