Lacking six of the sixteen illustrated plates. pp. 276 plus [6] ads. A scarce title by the Southern writer Mollie Evelyn Moore Davis (1844-1909), a native of Alabama whose work typically portrayed life in Louisiana and Texas. The Elephant's Track is a collection of fifteen short stories, two of which appear here for the first time, the others having been previously featured in periodicals such as Harper's Magazine and The Atlantic Monthly.
