Advertisement of the editor, printed dedication, list of subscribers, french text. l Engraved frontispiece, engraved titlepage with printer's device Luzac & Van Damme, 45 engraved plates and throughout the book floral vignettes. The Amsterdam engraver Jan Punt (1711-1779) made the illustrations for this edition. With Punt as the plate cutter Luzac & Van Damme had made an excellent choice. Punt's work as bookillustrator is of great quality. A wonderful edition of this famous work. Seller Inventory # 11988
