About this title

Many of the world's greatest businesses are family owned, and with this comes the threat of family feuding, sibling rivalries, and petty jealousies. Family Wars takes readers behind the scenes on a rollercoaster ride through the ups and downs of some of the biggest family-run companies in the world, showing how family in-fighting has threatened to bring about their downfall. Covering families such as Ford, Gucci, McCain, Guinness, Gallo, and Redstone, Family Wars is an astonishing expose of the way families do business and how family in-fighting can threaten to blow a business apart. Whether it's Brent Redstone's court case with his father and sister or the family feud over Henry Ford's $350 million trust fund, the book reveals the origins, the extent, and finally the resolution of some of the most famous family feuds in recent history. Family Wars also provides valuable advice for anyone involved in a family business, offering suggestions on how to avoid such problems.

Terms of Sale:

We guarantee the condition of every book as it's described on the Abebooks web sites. If you're dissatisfied with your purchase (Incorrect Book/Not as Described/Damaged) or if the order hasn't arrived, you're eligible for a refund within 30 days of the estimated delivery date. If you've changed your mind about a book that you've ordered, please use the Ask bookseller a question link to contact us and we'll respond within 2 business days.

Shipping Terms:

Thank you for your business. All orders are processed within 24 hours unless there are unusual or mitigating circumstances. Unless we inform you otherwise, this is also your confirmation of shipment.

Please be aware that media mail within the United States can take upwards of 7-21 days to be delivered despite the earlier or later delivery times that major internet sellers may indicate.(Shipping during the holiday season and when there is inclement weather almost always adds additional shipping time to these estimates.) Sometimes media mail can arrive in just a few days but the postal service offers no guarantees on the time required for media mail. If you have requested expedited service, you may expect to receive your order within 2-4 days.

Postal tracking and delivery confirmation is used on all orders except replacement shipments for lost orders and APOs. Media mail tracking, generally speaking, notifies the recipient and the shipper only when the package arrives in the customer's zip code-not necessarily that it has been received by the customer. Customers, however, can at least verify that the postal service has been notified of a pending pickup.

Please note that the US Postal Service picks up from our offices daily. On Saturday, we deliver directly to our local post office, so your packages are always in transit within 24-48 hours regardless of what the postal tracking might indicate on the USPS website. USPS tracking is, unfortunately, not "live" like FEDEX or UPS Tracking. The USPS is working on improving this aspect of media mail tracking. (Additionally, the postal service appears to be replacing personnel, which in our opinion may lead to additional delays in the processing of mail.)

International orders should arrive within 10-30 days depending on the country of destination. We have had some recent issues with customs delays, in some countries, due to security enhancements, so please be patient if your order seems to take longer than usual to be delivered.
