Cholmondeley-Pennell, with contributions by other authors (1885). Shooting: Moor and Marsh by Lord Walsingham and Sir Ralph Payne-Gallwey, with contributions by Lord Lovat and Lord Charles Lennox Kerr (1887; second edition). Illustrated with 7 plates by A. J. Stuart-Wortley, Harper Pennington, C. Whymper and J. G. Millais. Collated complete. Shooting: Field and Covert by Lord Walsingham and Sir Ralph Payne-Gallwey, with contributions by the Hon. Gerald Lascelles and A. J. Stuart Wortley (1889; third edition, revised). Illustrated with 10 plates by A. J. Stuart-Wortley, Harper Pennington and J. H. Oswald Brown. Collated complete. The Badminton Library of Sports and Pastimes was a series of sporting books edited by Henry Somerset, 8th Duke of Beaufort (1824 1899). These volumes offer advice and explore the history of each sport and pastime, often aided by many illustrations and diagrams. In the publisher's original pictorial cloth binding. All volumes externally smart, though with a little shelf wear to the extremities and joints. Some marks to the rear board of the volume on fishing, and a little bumping to the front board of Shooting: Moor & Marsh, otherwise pictorial boards remain bright. Hinges starting to Shooting: Field and Covert but they remain firm. Binding strained in a couple of places to Fishing and Shooting: Moor and Marsh; plate 3 is detached to Shooting: Moor & Marsh, but is intact. Front free end paper to Shooting: Field & Covert is starting to detach. Otherwise, volumes are generally firmly bound.
