Four rare American theatre posters printed on card, all measuring ca. 56,5 x 35,5 cm. Some have small damages, but overall they are in very good condition. They are an interesting record of American theatre history. ¶ On the stage, not a movie. Michael Stewart presents Eugene O Neill s Pulitzer Prize winner Anna Christie with an all Broadway cast. New York, Sunshine Theatre, [1940s?] O Neill s acclaimed play premiered in Vanderbilt Theatre on November 2, 1921. The Sunshine Theatre, originally established by Charles Steiner and Abraham Minsky, was a famous theatre with an interesting history, functioning respectively as a Dutch church, a Yiddish music hall, a theatre and finally as an independent cinema. It closed in 2018. ¶ On the stage, not a movie. Michael Stewart presents Augustus Philiips in person in the Broadway hit Three is a Family. Staged by Terence Little, settings by Arther Prager. Tue.-Wed.-Thur. Aug. 12-13-14 at 8:45 P.M. C.F. Haubert s Milford Theatre. Milford, [1940s?] Augustus Phillips (1874 1944) performed in stock theatre and appeared in 134 films. ¶ Manhattan Stock Co. Summer Season 1948 presents Murder at Midnight all Broadway cast. Chostly! Chilling! Mystery! Fri. - Sat. July 23-24-8:45 P.M. Unionville Community Hall. Unionville, N.Y., 1948. Probably an adaptation of Frank R. Strayer s film with the same title. ¶ Manhattan Stock Co. Summer Season 1948 presents Peg O My Heart with Peggy McCabe & Kitty Carrickford all Broadway cast.
