Unpaginated 26pp typescript selected by the author from "the larger collection.as being of especial interest to his kinsman F.N. Butler." The author has SIGNED this statement. The text consists of two sections the first on the life of Elizabeth(?) Sheridan (1618-16--) & the second on the life of Catherine Burrows (1771-1846). The former tells of a "true romance" connected with the Irish Rebellion of 1641 & the escape of the grandmother of Rev. Wm. Brooke of Rantaven House, Co. Cavan, whose son Henry was born 1704 & the author of "Gustavus Vasa," "The Fool of Quality" etc. Catherine Burrows on the other hand was born in 1771 in England. After her father's death in 1773 was taken by her mother to Dublin where she spent the greater and remaining part of her life. An unpublished work & a fascinating glimpse of Butler, Brooke & Dowling family history. While the author refers to a larger piece of work we have found no record of anything published.
