This hand colored map was made by O.W.Gray and son in 1886 for "The National Atlas". Italy is illustrated on this map. Several insets show areas of Italy at greater scales than the main map. Provinces are distinguished by bright pastel color. Other details include the names of provinces and important cities, and illustrations of rivers, lakes, railroads, and mountains.The map measures 15.5 by 13 inches. Seller Inventory # 21826

Detailed map, colored by counties and showing townships, towns, villages, post offices, canals, roads, railroads (projected and completed), towns, etc. In the lower left corner 2 insets show the environs of Palerme and Naples. Two further insets are found in the upper right corner showing the environs of Rome and the Republic of San Marino. Additionally you find a map of the Mount Etna in the lower right corner.
