Engraved title pages to both the Old & New Testaments. No Apocrypha present as per D&M. In good, solid and clean condition in the main. Minor light marks, blemishes or reading wear else a nice example of this pocket bible, bound into two volumes. With an early signature to the title page of Thomas Digby Brooke, 1766, and his son Thomas Henry Brook, 1826. Further signature of Thomas Digby Brooke, Dublin to the FEP of the second volume. Thomas Digby Brooke [1740-1786], translator of A short and easy method of prayer, translated from the French of Madam JMB de la Mothe Guion issued in 1775. Bound in rather attractive sombre style contemporary bindings with gilt borders to the front and rear boards. Gilt lines & volume numbers to the spines.
