It achieved great success, and resulted in many further editions and foreign translations.Pencil former owner's inscription to half title.In the decorative publisher's cloth. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Bumping to back strip head and tail, with light fraying to cloth in these regions. Fading to back strip. Boards bright. Paper to front pastedowns renewed, but retaining the original front free endpaper. Final gathering detached and loosely inserted, otherwise firmly bound. Inscription to half title.
