About this Item
Japanese nurse in full white dress along side her bicycle with red cross printed on her headware. Two Japanese post cards with real photo illustrations. One is of a nurse in white dress and head dress, holding a bicycle with cross in red ink on head dress and detail on bicycle. The other is a color chrysanthemum flower with an inset of a gentleman in military dress and decoration. On the verso is stamped, "Souvenir of the Goni-Fair" and 'Published by the Goni Fair in Commemmoration of the Triumph.' The 1906 Goni Fair, was a trade show that served since 1894 as a showcase for domestic crafts (ceramics, lacquerware, paper products, metalwork, etc.) and light industry (notably textiles).
