About this Item
Octavo in gray cloth boards stamped in blue. Staple mar to first two pages, which does not affect the text. Previous owners imprint on title page. Moderate foxing to interior pages. 357 pages. Glossy frontis portrait of John Morgan, which is identical to the dust jacket portrait. Morgan, a Kentuckian, served as a Confederate General and was known as an early practioner of guerilla warfare. This book definitely from the point of view of the South. The author is related to the author's uncles who rode with Morgan. The dust jacket has tape residue on reverse, at head and heel of spine and light soiling to back panel. Front flap has been price clipped. A very nice copy of this scarce title.
