Previous owner's inscription to pastedowns and endpapers. Visible thumb-marking present. Boards have light edgewear with corner crushing and notable marking to boards. Moderate tanning to spine, which has mild crushing and tearing to ends. Notable creasing to front board. Book has forward lean. Boards are mildly warped. Moderate water stains to rear board. Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. Not dated - circa early 1900s. Edition and printing not known. In quite good red cloth boards with black titles to front and spine. The boards are a little faded; flat; with collapsed hollow yet fairly firm; spine ends and corners worn. Tanned free end papers; the rear free end paper has figures and ingredients listed in pencil. Dark tint to top cut edge; the fore and tail edges are tanned; name written in ink on fore edge. The text block is firm and straight; Prelims, Indiex and end pages foxed; otherwise pages unmarked.
