Author's edition, "with all his introductions, various readings, and the editor's notes." 375 pp + extensive publisher's catalogue illustrated with many engravings from drawings by Birket Foster and John Gildert, as well as 11 original albumen photographs. A good copy bound in original blue cloth decorated in black and gilt, with all edges gilt. Mild spine slant, corners rubbed, scuff mark on rear board. Paper split over hinges; hinges sound but appear to have been re-glued. Early owner's name and date on verso of front free endpaper. Seller Inventory # 22348
