Very nice, clean book, tighly bound with no names or writing. Small spot of wear to back spine area i and two spots to front board visible only when turned in the light. Pages and page edges pristine.Beautifully illustrated throughout. Originally published in 1850. Agasizz was both a medical doctor and a scientist who specialized in natural history, specifically ichthyology, the study of fish. He is not to be confused with Louis Agasizz Fuertes, the ornithologist and painter of birds.Book has 428 pages, plus drawings at back of fish and insects. Bookseller Inventory # 22035
