folio, TYPESCRIPT, 21 leaves. This typescript is of Chapter 5 of Sutherland's book 'Aces and Kings', first published in 1936. Near the beginning are some ink corrections: 'Date of same 14 August 1888. His father's stock was Scottish his mother's Irish', is altered to 'Date of same 16 August 1888. His father's stock was Irish, his mother's of Skye'. The author was an officer in No. 1 Squadron of the Australian Flying Corps. who served in the Middle East during the First World war. He first met Lawrence in May 1918 at Ramleh aerodrome. He witnessed Lawrence's prowess at wrestling. Seller Inventory # RGW21432
