Blue gray paper boards with quarter beige paper spine. Paper spine label: "Richardson" / "London:" / "1807". Edges, corners, and boards heavily rubbed, but overall consistency of wear leaves it with a respectable well-used character. Scattered foxing but nowhere heavy. Title page and frontispiece with foxing to margins. High quality tissue-guarded frontispiece portrait of Richardson. Previous owners signature with date April 8, 1807 in old pen to upper right corner of title page. No other markings throughout. Printed by subscription, with seven pages of subscribers listed. Quality paper with spacious typography and very wide margins. Pages are uncut. All is well bound in with hinges and joints intact. Large quarto. About 9.7 x 12.5 in (24.8 x 32cm).
