About this Item
A collection of 20 mounted Kodak No. 1s measuring 3" x 4" with captions. Slight waviness on the mounts and some fading else about near fine. A small archive of Kodak No. 1 photographs from New Jersey in 1889, mostly of Atlantic City. The images show well dressed women under umbrellas on the boardwalk, horse drawn carriage "on the sands," and views of the ocean. One photo shows a woman shopping on the boardwalk and another shows Lucy the Elephant, a New Jersey beach landmark. These photos are taken with the new technology of Kodak's brownie camera introduced in 1888. An interesting archive of amateur photography of a New Jersey seaside town in 1889.
