Author: Giovanni Rosini was a poet and Professor, who taught at the University of Pisa He also published the historical novels La Monaca di Monza, and Ugolino Gherardesca He wrote the poem The Marriage of Jupiter and Latona upon the marriage of Napoleon and Marie Louise in 1810 . Book Resume: Luisa is the daughter of Filippo Strozzi, the wealthiest and nobelist man in Italy Luisa is of a rare beauty, who attracts the attention of those she would rather avoid; the dissolute Aleesandro de Medici Medici is upset when Luisa rejects him, and follows her to the French Court, where she escaped to avoid him .
