PROVENANCE: Henry Hobhouse. Probably - Rt. Hon. Henry Hobhouse (1776 - 1854). Son of Henry Hobhouse and Sarah Jenkyns born at Aikton, Gloucestershire. Married Harriet Turton, daughter of John Turton and Mary Meysey, in 1806. He held the office of Under-Secretary of State for the Home Department between 1817 and 1827.1 Appointed Privy Counsellor.
