Bound in black cloth with gilt lettering stamped on spine. Boards a tad splayed; offsetting to endpapers. A handsome copy in the illustrated dust jacket with spine faded, price of 7/6 intact on front flap. First published 1946, this brief memoir by the New Zealand author was published posthumously. A Rhodes Scholar, a rugby injury led to a leg amputation; nevertheless, Guthrie served in WWII with distinction.
