This is a fascinating account of the hero of the First War in the Middle East as he tires to escape in the anonymity of life as a common airman Volume is in very good condition. First UK edition, of which 2,000 numbered copies were printed (this being #1461). 4to. 206pp. Original publisher's quarter blue morocco with cloth sides, lettered in gold at the spine. Top edge gilt, others untrimmed. Handsome marbled endpapers. Just a hint of wear to the corner tips and to several extremities, and a small area of fading to the head of the rear board. Very good indeed. No dust wrapper, as issued, but lacking the slipcase.
