Both 4to, card covers; 46pp., 44pp. The program for the first American appearance of the Theatre, under the promotional auspices of F. Ray Comstock and Morris Gest. A history of the theatre, accompanied by portraits, with an introduction by Oliver M. Saylor. The Fovitzky, issued prior to the company's arrival, was an attempt to prepare the public for the Theatre's particularities. Both quite scarce, the Fovitzky being especially so. Inscription/signature to the first leaf of the Fovitzky, in Russian. Both VG-: some spotting to the edges of the wrappers and to the leaves; small tears and chipping to the externals w/ minimal loss; clean and presentable internals; bindings solid enough.
