In 250 pages. Written under a pseudonym by Lilian Garis, one of the Stratemeyer Syndicate's primary authors, Orig. published by Cupples & Leon in 1914, this is the First Edition, later printing, from Goldsmith (First, thus), listing to "Mountains" on rear flap. Hardcover book with green textured cloth over boards & black design & lettering to front & spine is in VG condition: generally very clean, binding tight & square, hinges intact; pages significantly tanned, heaviest around edges. Old gift inscription on ffep, else unmarked. Bottom edges show rubbing, fraying of cloth at lower spine & corners. The price-clipped DJ is: VG: bright & colorful, with surprisingly mild edgewear/rubbing to extremities. Colors bright, no fading, but the white spine is significantly darkened, as is usual on these.
