Allen was a noted American author, focusing on cooking and food, being one of the most popular and prolific authors in cooking in the early 20th century. GOOD condition. Covers faded, with minor to moderate soiling and a few minor stains to the covers. Some scuffing. Extremities scuffed and a bit frayed. Interior solid and toned, with minor scattered soiling and a few dog ear creases. Several recipe clippings laid in, with a recipe handwritten in pencil on the last blank endpaper.
