The work is a visual survey of sociopolitically inspired mural art work in the forty years following the Mexican Revolution. The publication reproduces the work of many internationally acclaimed Mexican artists in gorgeous high quality offset color printing. The book is organized according the the institutions (museums and libraries) that own the various art works, and includes works by Deigo Rivera, Jose Clemente Orozco, David Alfaro Siqueiros and Rufino Tamayo, among others. Also included is a section of b/w photographs of some art in its physical locations reproduced in photogravures. The rear includes pages of indexes and bibliographic information.
